We have no idea what area in Age of Conan this is, nor why one might want to stand there and put on the mother of all light shows.
This morning sees the arrival of one of the larger patches for Age of Conan. To get the bad news out of the way first: the new PvP changes, including the fugitive system, PvP XP and PvP gear, aren't in yet.

As of a few days ago, the promised level-bumping facilities are now active on the Testlive server, to a limited extent. The revised PvP system is also still on Testlive only, along with a level-bumping NPC, so there are plenty of reasons to go and do some intensive testing if you haven't already.

Still, it clearly looked sharper and better than the DirectX 9 version of the game. In particular, the longer draw distances stood out, as well as the abundant shadowing and self-shadowing effects everywhere.

He also admitted that the solution isn't as simple as plugging an Xbox 360 controller into your PC and playing the game with the same results.
